Cayo Levantado Full Day Adventure 

After picking you up directly from your hotel in Punta Cana we will make our way to the north of the country, heading to the charming town of Miches, a rural village located in El Seibo province, home of fishermen and farmers, considered today one of the new destinations for adventure travelers. The bus trip will last around 1 hour and on the way our friendly guide will provide a lot of interesting info regarding the Dominican Republic history, culture and typical life. Get ready to interact with local people, observe traditions and customs while listening to classic Dominican songs enjoying the local rhythms of Bachata and Merengue.

Once reached the destination of Miches we are almost ready to get on our boat and let the adventure begin! But before starting exploring, what better than relaxing and enjoying a quick snack or a good Dominican coffee? In a typical Dominican ¨comedor¨ we will have the chance to have a quick breakfast including a sandwich (ham & cheese or eggs & tuna the options ) plus a cold or hot drink. If you wanna try something very typical we suggest you to try the Noni tea!!

We are now finally ready to go! We will get aboard our boat and wearing life jackets we will make our way to the first destination of the tour, the natural pool of ¨Media Luna¨ (Half Moon) in the middle of the ocean. After 20-25 minutes ride here the boat will stop for around 30-40 minutes and our customers will have the chance to snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the natural lagoon, exploring the marine life and looking for the beautiful giant starfishes. In the meantime the bar will open and we will have the chance to sip a rum drink (cubalibre) while enjoying the stunning views of this virgin area!

After the first stop the boat will continue the journey, crossing the Samana Bay, to our final destination of Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island (due to the fact this island has been home of different TV spots for the famous rum factory Bacardi). We will have two more intermediate stops before reaching the island, both without getting off the boat. One to see the mangroves, a typical tropical plant which contains a complex salt filtration system and complex root system to cope with salt water immersion and wave action. The second in front of the Samana village of Santa Barbara, the capital of the Samana peninsula, an ecotourism destination thanks to the yearly visit of 1,500 humpback whales in its bay.

At around 12 pm we finally get to reach the paradise corner of Cayo Levantado. We´re gonna be received with a welcome cocktail chosen between Pina Colada and the Dominican Coco Loco and shortly you will be amazed by the gorgeous views your eyes will see! Coconut palm trees, powdery white sands and pristine blue waters will make you feel like you’re in a dream! Lunch is served buffet style around 1:00 pm in a reserved area only for our customers. Also for all the duration of the stay at the island (around 3 hours) you can take advantage of the open bar including rum based drinks and beer!

After lunch is time to relax and enjoy the beach and the magic atmosphere. You can take advantage of the many bed chairs provided at the beach to sunbathe or rest in the shade of one of the numerous palm trees. At around 3 pm it’s time to leave the island (although for sure you won ́t wanna live!!!) and get back on our boat to make our way to the starting point of Miches. Here our bus will be waiting for us to take us back to Punta Cana after this wonderful day trip adventure full of beautiful moments and memories. Wow!!!

In case a customer after booking a tour wants to cancel or is not more able to take part on it we will provide the full refund directly on the card used for the online reservation if the cancellation is required BY EMAIL within 24 hours before the starting of the tour.

Cancellation must be required BY EMAIL, (or by text in case) in order to have a written proof showing the exact date and time the customer asks to cancel. We will not accept cancellations by phone.

If the cancellation is required less than 24 hours before the starting of the tour due to any reasons (such as illness, change of personal circumstancesm, etc) and the customer is not able to reschedule, we will keep the deposit paid in advance or the 50% of the total price if the customers has paid in full.

In case the tour itself is cancelled due to weather conditions or other not ordinary reasons, the customer can choose if reschedule the tour or receive the full refund.

This policy DOES NOT apply for large groups of 10+ people where the cancellation is required at least a week in advance to get the full refund.
