Full Day Samana Explorer by bus with Waterfall and Bacardi Island 

Yes it’s all true. This tour is simply a lifetime experience! Samana is possibly the most beautiful place in the Dominican Republic. The Samana Bay, home of the Humpback whales, the impressive and magnificient Limon Waterfall, the gorgeous tropical island of Cayo Levantado are just few of the gems you can find and visit in this area. And guess what? With this tour you’re gonna see them all!

After an early pick up from your hotel in Punta Cana (from 6:30 till 7:30 am depending on the hotel) and a convenient stop in a meeting point to organize the transportation, we’ll move on a brand-new bus to the small village of Las Canitas, close to Sabana de la Mar. The ride takes around 1.5 hours thanks to the new Miches highway and on the way you’ll have the chance the enjoy great views of the Dominican countryside and the East Coast while the guide will give information about the life and local customs of the Dominicans.

After reaching Las Canitas, you will be welcomed by the local people and you can have some time to relax after the bus ride. Let's the adventure begin! It's time to get on board our boat to ride thorugh the beautiful Samana Bay, home few months per year of the Humpback Whale season, till reaching the small town of Samana, called Santa Barbara.

From the dock we'll get on a truck and we'll make our way to the most magnificent waterfall in the country, El Salto de Limon (Limon Waterfall)! We'll reach a ranch located in the mountain and be taken into the tropical forest, for a short horseback riding tour along the River Arroyo Chico. The dense vegetation will captivate your senses and leave you with a real taste of adventure. Ultimately, the trail leads to the picturesque Limon Waterfall: an impressive 170 foot drop of fresh water, right in the middle of the jungle. Splash yourself in the refreshing waters of the lagoons at the base of the waterfall. And don’t forget to take the perfect picture of your family and yourself in this memorable place!

At this time of the day you'll probably start getting hungry. Don't worry! It's already lunch time! We'll get back to the village of Samana and fill our bellies with a delicious traditional Dominican lunch complete with rice, beans, meat, salad, fresh fruit and coffee to finish with. Drinks are included too! Take advantage of the open bar with rum, soft drinks and water.

While the morning has been dedicated to the adventure, the afternoon will be focused in relaxing. We'll climb again into our open air truck and head down to the dock to take a short boat trip to the gorgeous Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island. You will be impressed by the beautiful landscapes of the peninsula. Once on the island, prepare to experience the white sandy beaches and the warm turquoise water of this unique and relaxing place. There, you can explore the island, swim, take pictures or simply relax and enjoy a good cocktail on the beach of this lost paradise.

After around 1.5 hours spent at the island, from here we'll start to make our way back to Punta Cana, where you'll have plenty of time to recall this wonderful experience. Start dreaming! Book with us your Samana Explorer tour!

• Order of the places to be visited may change.
• Pregnant women and people with back problems can't participate in this tour.
• The path to reach the waterfall includes a steep and pretty narrow stairway, so you have to be in good physical conditions.
• During the horseback activity to reach the waterfall you will be guided by volunteers. They are not paid, so please tip them at the end of the activity if you have a chance.
• The trail to reach the waterfall is usually very muddy. You will have to wear rain boot. Bring long sockes if you think you'll need it.
• Children under 3 year old don't pay.

In case a customer after booking a tour wants to cancel or is not more able to take part on it we will provide the full refund directly on the card used for the online reservation if the cancellation is required BY EMAIL within 24 hours before the starting of the tour.

Cancellation must be required BY EMAIL, (or by text in case) in order to have a written proof showing the exact date and time the customer asks to cancel. We will not accept cancellations by phone.

If the cancellation is required less than 24 hours before the starting of the tour due to any reasons (such as illness, change of personal circumstancesm, etc) and the customer is not able to reschedule, we will keep the deposit paid in advance or the 50% of the total price if the customers has paid in full.

In case the tour itself is cancelled due to weather conditions or other not ordinary reasons, the customer can choose if reschedule the tour or receive the full refund.

This policy DOES NOT apply for large groups of 10+ people where the cancellation is required at least a week in advance to get the full refund.
